STUDENTS TO MAKE EFFECTIVE CAREER CHOICES

Corp members of the legal Aid CDS group in Oshogbo local government, have sensitized students of the Christ Apostolic Church middle school (CAC 1 and 2),0n the value of career planning in order to make effective career choices as they advance in educational growth.

The sensitization program, which held at the Christ Apostolic Church middle school
(CAC 1 and 2), Araromi in Oshogbo local government, educated the students on the various kinds of career available and the uniqueness of each.

The CDS president, Mr Obajowo Ephraim said that the focus of the sensitization program, was to expose young minds to the importance of choosing career wisely without sentiments and the ability to make career choices in line with their innate abilities.

He stressed that career choice is one of the most important choices in a person's lifetgat should not be toyed with but rather be taken with a conscious seriousness to avoid regrets in future, as this could make or mar a person.

Miss Folawiyo Modupe , a corp member of the CDS group also speaking, encouraged the students to make good grades in their studies as this is the primary step to making a career choice.

In order to achieve this, she implored the students to read hard, obey their teachers, and believe in themselves, as this will place them on the highway to success in their endeavours.

To enable effective understanding, a corp members displayed their various fields of study using teaching aids that allowed for better understanding.

Mr Oyediji Victor, a corp member who read Applied Arts, displayed Craft works such as moulded pots ,flower Vases and and the likes ,in order to explain Applied Arts as a career that can be chosen by the students.

Also, Mr Babajide Toys,a Corp member who dressed in law regalia used this medium to explain Law as a career that can be chosen as well.

These and other profession was displayed as the students were made to understand the value of career planning in educational growth.
