GENDER VANGUARD CDS
On the 25th of May, 2019 at about 9am the Gender Vanguard group Oshogbo embarked on a community development project by taking to the streets of Awosuru at Alekuwodo, Osun State to change the street's bad water pipes as well as the tap head that was badly broken.
This project saw Corps Members practically engage in manual labour by digging the ground to remove the bad pipes and fix a new one so as to avoid continuous leakage and overflow of water which could cause erosion.
In a conversation with the Gender Vanguard CDS President Alui Oluwagbenga said he was driven by his passion for volunteering and community development to go about the community project to arrest the constant water leakage at Awosuru street. In his address he said "This project will inspire kids watching to strive for education and community development."
He crowned event of activities by thanking his members for showing committment and dedication to the success of the project.
The members of the Gender Vanguard CDS ended the project by taking group photographs with the project before departing the scene.
