FUNFAIR AS NYSC EDITORIAL GROUP HOLDS SPELLING BEE COMPETITION

The Editorial Community Development Service of the National Youth Service Scheme Osun state today held a spelling competition for secondary schools in the state of Osun.
The event which took place at the NULGE hall of the Olorunda local government area, Igbona saw in attendance students and teachers from secondary schools in Osun, compete for the best in the competition.

Speaking during the event the State coordinator Mr Emmanuel Attah, represented by the Principal public relations officer of the Scheme, who also doubles as the Schedule Officer of the group, Mrs Catherine Otemiyiwa identified that the program was put together to ignite the spirit of academic excellence on the students and also raise the awareness for schools to include diction in schools. She thanked the Executive members of the group and wiahed the contestants a successful outing.
In a similar development, the founder and chief executive of RaveFm,Mr Femi Adefila in his remarks expressed joy over the program and charged school owners to encourage spelling in their various schools.

The event saw the presence of over 20 secondary schools, and Raji Maryam of Islamic college, Osogbo, came first, while Segun Olufemi  of Deeper life school osogbo, came second, While, Ataoja Secondary school came third.
High points  of the event was the presentation of award to prominent personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of the editorial community development group and the presentation of gift  and cash prizes to winners.
