Chukwudi Enwerem
As the Osun governorship election draws nearer, the Independent National Electoral Commission (lNEC) has implored corps members and other youths that would serve as ad-hoc staff during the exercise to display a high sense of professionalism during the poll.
Addressing Corps members in Oshogbo, during a three day training organised for adhoc staff, one of the Facilitators of the training exercise, Mr Sunday Collins, urged them to portray moral standard and responsibility in the discharge of their duties during the exercise.
Mr Collins further noted that any electoral official that goes against the electoral laws would be punished in accordance with the relevant section of the electoral laws.
The corps members while displaying how they would perform on the election day, called on the Commission to ensure that their lives are protected.
High point of the training exercise which took place across the state was administration of the Oath of neutrality to corps members, as they promised to discharge their duties faithfully.
