Nigeria’s natural resources are under threat thereby thorough management is required for the restoration of her resources to avoid imperilment.

Firstly, Natural resources are the gift of nature we are blessed with and Nigeria is so blessed with numerous natural resources, eg crude oil, Tin, Bitumen, etc. Let's take crude oil, from which we get petroleum, kerosene and diesel. Nigeria is so blessed in all areas, but the major threat to our resources is bad Governance, poor management and greed where a person will want to be the one enjoying what a whole country should be enjoying.

Again, our resources are not well managed, imagine a country that other countries rely on for supply of petroleum that does not have a single refinary for several years, we export our crude oil, then we import the refined oil, what a tragedy, we now suffer in the midst of plenty what a pity. The money that some people take for sitting allowances and God know what contracts put together will go along way in resurrecting our dead refinaries but then greediness will never allow our leaders think like the common country man.

Thirdly, poor management of resources is what is putting us at risk of debt that we will keep paying till generations to come if care is not taken. Thorough management of our resources should be paramount to both the government and the citizens, why citizens? Many at times the problem starts from us and we are the people at the recieving end, imagine citizen breaking and blowing pipe lines to steal crude oil, only for millions and billion to be used for the reconstruction even if is not up to that amount we (Citizens) caused it in the name of eating from the national cake.

Lastly, the restoration of our resources is the task for all both government and citizens, government should ensure there is continuity of project even if government changes, citizens should see all our resources as something to care for because the consequences of our carelessness is much on us (Citizens) than the government. To save us from the danger to come the proper management of our resources should be our (Government and Citizens) priority. God bless Nigeria.
