CHARITY GROUP CLOTHES STUDENTS IN EDE

It is said that charity begins at home. In view of this, the Charity Community Development Service Group, Ede North LGA has organised a project themed "Clothe The Future" .

The  event took place on Friday, March 25, at Ede North local Government, Ede, Osun State. The project which was targeted at students  saw corps members coming out in their numbers.

Corps members visited many schools  in their bid to affect the lives of the future leaders around them.

They were warmly  welcomed by the school officials . "It is such a privilege to have you in our midst , your presence alone gives hope to our students", they said.

The President of the Group, while responding said it was an honour to serve. "We just want to render a little help to the society."  he said with broad smiles.

The long planned project which was orchestrated  in order to make available new School uniforms for indigent students who may not have the means to change their torn uniforms due to one difficulty or the other turned out to be a complete success as many wards were aided by it.

A number of schools  benefited from this act of selfless service. They are: YTD Elementary School, with a total of six  pupils and Timi Agbale college with  a  total of  five junior secondary school students .

The Christ Apostolic Church  Grammar school , Ede also benefited from what the corps members had to offer four students from their primary school section.  In total, fifteen students were beneficiaries  of the project.

At the end  of the  outreach, the officials from the different schools thanked the corps members for their contribution to the education of young people . " We cannot thank you enough for what you have done. You will forever be dear to the hearts of these students, they will never forget you,"  they said.
