SKILL ACQUISITION IS A NECESSITY FOR SURVIVAL- MR ALABI
Mr Stephen Akinyemi Alabi, a retired Director of the NYSC has told the Batch A 2021 stream 1 corps members on Wednesday that skill acquisition is a necessity for survival.
He made this known while delivering a motivational lecture on Wednesday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
He stressed on the importance of trading and advised the Corps members to be business oriented in order to increase their cash flow.
Mr Alabi posited that ambition is the driving force of any successful individual and they must never allow anyone or anything kill their dream.
“Circumstances around you should never pull you down instead they should encourage you to do better” he added.
Furthermore, he added that personal development is very important without which one cannot be guaranteed a place in today’s competitive society and as such, there is a need for continuous research, discoveries and mental expansion.
The need to be humble was also stressed upon by Mr Alabi as without it the journey to a greater and brighter tomorrow would be difficult as nobody wants to help or associate with a proud or arrogant person. He however encouraged them to always strive to be the best and allow their trainings during the service year reflect in all they do.
