CULTURE AND TRADITIONS ARE BUILDING PILLARS OF SOCIETY- OBA ADEDAPO

The Olojudo of Ido-Osun, Alayemore Oba Architect Aderemi Adeen Adedapo has told the 2021 Batch A stream 1 Corps members that culture and traditions are the foundation upon which every society is built.

Oba Aderemi said this on Monday while addressing the corps members during the traditional lecture at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

According to Oba Adedapo, the preservation of culture has played a great role in ensuring that the unique identity of a society is not lost and therefore encouraged that cultural heritage be transferred from generation to generation.

“Develop survival skills which will always keep you going and ensure that you stand out as perfect examples across your service year".

Subsequently, he spoke on the need to be security conscious and never make oneself a target for enemies attacks.

“Avoid undue friendships and never go to unknown places without proper investigation and due research.

"The complexity of human lives makes it necessary for us to learn tolerance and love towards all around".

He ended by encouraging corps members to learn various interesting cultural attributes of the Yoruba’s after which he offered words of prayer wishing the corps members a prosperous service year.
