NCDC DEEPLY IMPRESSED BY NYSC OSUN COMPLIANCE AS IT INSPECTS ONGOING ORIENTATION
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) led by Dr Oyeladun Okunromade has on Saturday visited the ongoing 2020 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation Programme and expressed their satisfaction with the level of compliance to COVID-19 preventive protocols on camp. The team stormed the orientation camp without prior notice in order to ensure that the entire camp community right from the gate to the camp market are complying with the COVID-19 preventive protocols.
According to Dr, Oyeladun Okunromade, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC), understands the danger posed by the second wave of the COVID-19 virus hence the need to ensure that everyone is strictly following these protocols in order to stop the spread of the deadly virus.
Speaking further, she commended the effort of the management of NYSC Osun who made sure that necessary equipment and measures were put in place to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 on camp. Correspondingly, Dr Ayobami Oyeniyi, NCDC Consultant who was also part of the NCDC team that visited the orientation camp expressed his satisfaction while observing the corps medical team at the gate and clinic. He was deeply impressed by the selflessness, diligence and skilfulness of the medical corps members carrying out the COVID-19 test on course participants prior to entering the orientation camp.
He further encouraged the management of NYSC to continue to remind the corps members on the need to continue adhering to the COVID-19 preventive protocols at all time. Meanwhile, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator who took the NCDC team around the orientation camp, assured the NCDC that the scheme will continue to do everything humanly possible to ensure that everyone stays safe on camp and even during the corps members service year.
