MR ADEGOKE BRIEFS PCMs, ADMONISHES THEM ON THE PROPER USE OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has admonished the 2020 Batch B Stream 2 Prospective Corps members(PCMs) to be careful of what they post on social media for it may not only pose a threat to their lives but may also implicate them as well.
He stated this while briefing the prospective corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, On Sunday.
Mr Ayodele emphasized on the need for corps members to be aware of their environment and be mindful of what they post on their social media platforms in order to keep themselves safe during the service year.
Speaking further, he reminded the prospective corps members of the swearing in ceremony as he advised them to continue to be of good behavior and law abiding to avoid facing the camp court and the wrath of the law.
Subsequently, he enlightened them on the four cardinal programmes of the scheme; the orientation, primary assignment, community development service and winding out/passing out as he encouraged them to ensure they participate actively in the cardinal programmes.
He also told them that postings and relocations are free and that they should feel free to report anyone who tries to extort money from them for posting or relocation to the appropriate authority.
He also told the PCMs to desist from all forms of crimes and social vices.
"Don't involve yourself in any form of unionism and cultism. NYSC will also not tolerate any form of internet related crime committed by any Corps member", he concluded.
