"Never undermine the power of Press"- Mrs Okundaye tells Corps Members

The Assistant Director,  Press and Public Relations Unit (PPRU) of the NYSC Osun State, Mrs Funmi Okundaye  has informed corps members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos State that the activities of the press and public relations unit are essential to their service year and they should not undermine the power of the press.

Mrs Okundaye made this known on Tuesday at the sensitisation lecture on Press and Public Relations at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

According to her,  the  unit are saddled with the responsibility of creating a favourable image for the NYSC scheme. 

" The NYSC is a fundamental agency that helps to contribute positively to Nation building and the image of the scheme must be positively projected and protected ", she added.

She further stated that  the PPRU  has other functions which includes the supervision of NYSC TV and Radio programs,  video and photographic documentation, maintain protocol lists, production of in-house journals and end of service year publication for corps members, regular sensitisation of Corps members and most importantly to protect the image of the National Youth Service Corps.
