CORPS MEMBERS CAMPAIGN FOR ENVIROMENTAL AND PERSONAL HYGIENE

Corps members belonging to the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), in Irepodun local Government area, Osun state, have recently enlightened the students of Laarosin Middle School, Iboro, on the relevance of fostering environmental and personal hygiene.

The campaign was aimed at creating vast awareness on environmental hazards surrounding natural environment and its adverse effect on the human health, as the corps members stressed on the need for the students to remain clean and healthy for a disease free life, adding that 'cleanliness is next to Godliness'.

Furthermore, the team highlighted the causes of environmental hazards with emphasis laid on unkept environments, while adding that the major cause of diseases is an unclean environment which aids other agents and carriers of diseases. They further proffered possible recommendations to aid in curbing its consequences.

Highlights of the event included the distribution of sanitary dustbins, brooms and other sophisticated tools aimed at promoting a clean and healthy environment for the overall well-being of the people.
