PET CDS GROUP SHAKES UP KHAYRUL-UMAH COLLEGE
The peer Educational Trainers (PET) of Orolu Local Government has charged the devotion to education in students of KHAYRUL-UMAH College of Arts and Sciences.
This took place during the CDS groups visit to the college of arts and sciences, Oke-ala, Osun state recently.
In their discourse with the students, as is the conduct of the CDS group, they were able to expand the students intellect on the exclusiveness of Education citing the various roles peer pressure plays in the process of one's education.
The students proved to have been positively influenced by asking questions built on the newly acquired information of which the corps members responded accordingly.
Olorunfemi Azizat, a representative of the CDS group in an interview said that the group embarked on the project to reincite and rouse the attention of students as a huge majority have the wrong notion of education. She added that Education goes beyond the class room as it includes knowledge acquired from one's immediate environment.
On this note, she said "peer groups makes up most of one's immediate environment and they are major influences on one's education as they can be a blessing as well as a curse. This was why we embarked on this session as we intend to guide the scholars on how to tackle challenges that they might face from peers in the course of advancement"
