*NDLEA Charges Corps Members To Steer Clear Drug Abuse*

Mrs Abdulmalik Adenike,  an official of the  National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) urged the 2019 batch C stream II corps members to desist from any form of involvement in drug abuse.

While addressing corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, Mrs Adenike stated that "Drug abuse is the misuse of drugs that are not recommended by  medical personnel or the act of using drugs that are not legally endorsed by NDLEA.

She went further to highlight some drug abuse cases which include the use of hard drugs such as marijuana, cocaine; using prescribed drugs in excess; among others, which are against the law considering the fact that the human health is at stake. She also  mentioned alcohol and cigarettes as socially acceptable drugs but which has grave consequences as spelt out by the Ministry of Health.

More so, she appealed to  those involved in drug abuse to '' desist from the act'', while urging them to take measures in stopping  drug abuse by meeting the medical personnel for counsel and advise.
