NYSC South-West Area Coordinator Warns Corps Members Against Fraudulent Activities
The NYSC South-West Area Coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah, has warned the 2019 Batch C stream 1 corps members deployed to Osun State against fraudulent activities.
Attah, in his address during his visit to the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede cautioned the corps members against greed and the get-rich-quick syndrome which has destroyed many youths whose quest for money was devoid of hard work and the fear of God.
He enjoined them to be hardworking and look for success and wealth that God has blessed.
He said 'never be in a hurry to get wealth; understand the place of process in wealth gathering and be patriotic to Nigeria”
The NYSC Area Coordinator encouraged them to be proud of Nigeria while reemphasizing that they should shun cultism, kidnapping and armed robbery.
Speaking on the NYSC uniform, Mr Attah stressed that the scheme henceforth will no longer condone any form of defacing of the NYSC uniform. According to him, the NYSC uniform is our pride and identity and must therefore be used inline with the approved dress code for the service.
Attah further warned the members against embarking on frivolous journeys outside their places of primary assignments. He asserted that most of the casualties the scheme has recorded has been through accidents and most of the victims were discovered to have left their places of primary assignments without the permission of the NYSC State Coordinator.
The Area Coordinator further stressed on the need for corps members to take their health seriously and also not to live or move in isolation but try to befriend other corps members and the people in their community for their own good.
He concluded by appreciating the management of the scheme and camp officials for their sacrifice in building the future of the nation which are the youths.
