'
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has charged corps members to believe in Nigeria regardless of what the nation might be passing through presently. He said that Nigeria is not a failed State but rather needs the input of its citizen to become great again.
Adegoke, who was represented by the Assistant Director, Human Resource Management, Chief Fadairo Tunde, made the statement at the low-key passing out ceremony of the members of the 2019 Batch C stream II corps members deployed to the State at Oke-Baale, Osogbo where corps members in Osogbo zone converged for the ceremony on Thursday, 31st October, 2019.
He further charged the corps members to steer clear of vices such as advanced fee frauds, cyber crimes, and other crimes capable of sabotaging the future of its perpetrators. According to him " I enjoin you not to involve yourselves in yahooyahoo or yahoo plus, because it has no positive value to add to you but rather alienates you from the society and your loved ones as nobody wants to be associated with anyone involved in these crimes.
" imbibe the culture of hard work and industry. Engage yourselves by utilizing the various skills and trainings you have acquired under the skill acquisition programme and do not forget the scheme as you move into the larger society " he said.
Adegoke appreciated the members for their various contributions to the development of the state. "your contributions in the areas of health, education, infrastructure and agriculture will not be forgotten soon. Some of you wrote your names in gold at your places of primary assignments and some in their host communities, do not relent but channel same passion into whatever you're given to do hreeafter".
The coordinator kick-started the certificate distribution by issuing out sample certificates to randomly selected corps members. He concluded by stating that a total of 1700 corps members successfully completed the service year while 3 absconded. He wished the members well in their quest for a better life.
