ADEGOKE CHARGES COLLABORATING AGENCIES, NYSC OFFICIALS TO BE ALERT
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has charged collaborating agencies and NYSC officials to always be alert so as to succeed in the actualisation of the objectives of the NYSC for the orientation programme, which is the first cardinal programme of the scheme.
He gave the charge during the maiden meeting with camp officials at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday 4th November, 2019, prior to the commencement of the 2019 Batch C stream I orientation course in the State.
According to him, it is needful for all officials to watch out for signs of indiscipline, rebellion and criminal tendencies in the over 2300 corps members deployed to the State for the 2019 Batch C stream I orientation course. He stated that one of the objectives of the orientation programme is to instill discipline in the graduate youths " but this cannot be achieved if camp officials fail to exhibit a high sense of discipline, purpose and team spirit" he added.
Adegoke also touched on the need for camp officials to avoid oversocialisation with corps members and fighting in all its ramifications. He reiterated the Director General's commitment to the welfare of corps members and called on all officials to take corps members welfare seriously during the programme and after.
He further spelt out camp rules and expectations of the scheme for all camp officials and concluded by wishing all camp officials a hitchfree orientation programme.
Speaking during the meeting, the Camp Director, Mrs Charity Okpalifo further reiterated the salient issues addressed by the State Coordinator and called on camp officials to adhere to all that had been said so the State can continue to maintain its brand.
