    A renowed professor in the world, Professor Pat Utomi once  said " The problem with Nigerians youth is that they failed to acquire the basic skills for production and focus on degrees". Many people educate themselves with different professional course but failed to acquire skills such as tailoring, barbing, catering etc. Acquiring a particular skill creates an  higher opportunities and enlongate one's mind towards a better accomplishment in life. In Nigeria, skill acquisition should be treated and honour with a conscious mindset. Many graduates focus on thier various degrees and neglected the power of skill acquisition.
       Skills are learnt or inborn. The level of development and commitment to the skill makes the difference. We failed to learn and we keep failing. The goal of skill acquisition is add value to one's life and create a better life. Dishonor to skill acquisition has landed many into chaos and regret. In the principle of skill acquisition, there is a format called SAED.
S - Sacrifice
A - Action
E-  Excellent
D - Diligent
The SAED format for skill acquisition helps to one's to manage and utility one's resources. Through this format, one can acquire a skill skilfully and add more value to one's life. One's value is the capital that bring money and resources.
Sacrifice is the most Paramount aspect of skill acquisition. There are many things to sacrifice such as time, money, resources and energy. One's don't just be a fashion designer or a website designer  in a day. Everything needs time. The sacrifice of time shows the degree of usefulness in a particular facet. Anything one gives a time to, excellent is expected. So, the sacrifice of time is an unnegiotable aspect of skill acquisition. In acquiring any skill, one must be ready to give out the best time. One must pay a price to get a Prize. Nothing in life grows without time and sacrifices. In acquiring skills, one must set out plans and able to sacrifice anything in order to acquire the endeavor skill.
Action speaks louder than voice. One's action in accomplishing a particular task is prominent in skill acquisition. Many people wishes a lot, I wish I could be the best caterer, I wish I could I could be the best program designer! Many wishes till they finally give up. If one does not wish, nothing will work out. Keep wishing and poverty will embarrass you. Action!!! Brain work makes things works. Acquiring skill, one's action must be determine and place at the right position.
Excellent is the grandmaster of uniqueness in any skills. As a website designer, you don't want to learn more and humble yourself. Your excellent in a particular field makes the difference. Many people have acquired different skills but failed to be excellent. No Excellent, No Greatness. What makes your skill unique is the level of excellence. Excellence is a like a ladder which keep you going higher and higher. As a public speaker, you ignore excellence, you will never be invited again. The world celebrate excellent men and women. There's no room laziness in the city of greatness. Get the skill, develop it and you will see how life can be so cheap. Failure to get the skill you desire, keeps you a spot. No one will acquire the skill for you, you have to fight for it. Although it might be difficult at the beginning but the end is always great.
          Diligence is the power that sustain progress in life. A skill acquired without diligence will end up useless. The source of your productivity and creativity is found in diligence. You can't be the same with others, when you keep working everyday. Failure to be diligent gives rooms for disvalue, poverty and low demand. When your skills are not demanded for, check your diligence to the skill acquired.
