MCAN OSUN STATE APPRECIATES ADEGOKE
The Muslim Corpers Association of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter has awarded the Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke with an Award of Appreciation.
The award which was presented at the NYSC State secretariat was birthed by the body's recognition of the fatherly support and attentiveness of the State Coordinator to the body in the State.
This was made known by the Ameer, Adegbola Abdullahi who described the coordinator as an unbiased father, who is accessible to all regardless of one's religion or ethnic affinity. According to him, "the Muslim corps members in the State are grateful to the coordinator for always being there for us and for also visiting us during one of our prayers in the mosque during the orientation course.
"We are truly appreciative Sir " he added.
Adegoke in responding appreciated the body for deeming it fit to pay him a visit in his office. He also commended the MCAN staff advisers, Mr. Lawal Kehinde and Hajiya Barakat Lawal for guiding the corps members aright in ensuring peaceful coexistence among all bodies during the orientation course.
He called on the executive members to continue to preach peace and religious tolerance to their members. He further enjoined them to emulate the Director-General, Brig. Gen. Shuiabu Ibrahim, who is a Muslim yet paid the Christian Corpers Fellowship a visit during their worship session in one of the orientation camps he visited during the 2019 Batch B stream II orientation course.
Adegoke stressed that NYSC is an agency that preaches and encourages unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians regardless of our perceived differences. He described this as the mandate of the scheme not only in the State but nationwide as displayed by the Director-General.
