All work and no play, the saying goes "makes Jack a dull boy". In order to cater for the holistic development of the Nigerian graduate youths mobilised annually for the national service, the NYSC, aside including drills, lectures, meditations, sports, skill training, etc, in its camp curriculum, included socials.
Socials is meant to allow the youths socialise and integrate in a relaxed atmosphere without the rigidity associated with the aforementioned aspects of the curriculum. In the light of this, NYSC Osun thrilled the 2019 Batch B stream II corps members to a rousy welcome party on Saturday 24th August at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
The Camp Director, Mrs Funmi Okundaye, who flagged off the party on behalf of the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke called on the members to feel free and interact with one another stating that her presence and that of the officials was not to intimidate them but rather to ensure orderliness even as the corps members enjoyed the welcome party. Highlights of the party include: interplatoon male and female dancing competition, drinking competition, 'I rep my geopolitical zone' dance, DJ display, among others.
