NINE CORPS MEMBERS TO REPEAT NYSC FOR ABSCONDING IN KANO
The coordinator, National Youth Service Corps NYSC in Kano, Alhaji Ladan Baba says nine corps members from the 2018 Batch A are to repeat the one-year national service.
Baba said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, March 14 in kano.
According to him, the corps members absconded completely from their place of primary assignment for more than three months without notice and the said corps members will repeat their service year with half or no payment of their allowance.
He added that 21 of the outgoing corps members were also to be punished by extension of their passing out to three months which will be done without payment of their allowance.
He ended his interview with the disclosure that two members lost their lives due to natural causes during the service year.
This is a good step towards achieving the main aim why the scheme was created... Pls all other state cord should emulate him.
