ATTAH:SHUN PICKETING, IT'S NOT THE WAY FORWARD

The State Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps(NYSC),Osun State chapter,Mr.Danjuma Attah,has advised corps members to shun any protest that may lead to violence.
Mr.Attah gave the advice during tour to various Local government of the state in addressing corps members who are aggrieved on the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly election.
Speaking with corps members serving in Osogbo,Attah,said protesting is not the way out,rather it will only contribute negatively to issue on ground.
He disclosed that management of Nysc and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already discussed and promised to pay corps members the allowances due to them.
The state co-ordinator therefore,warned members of the scheme to boycott unlawful meetings that is not organize by Nysc and avoid associating with politicians who will lure them into trouble and deny them when the heat is on.
On his part,the Zonal Inspector of Osogbo, Johnson Adeniyi,said,Nysc regret what the postponement must have caused corps members who where out there in different Registration Area Centres (RACs) at night to perform their national duty.He however apologized,adding that management of Nysc had no idea of the said postponement of the election.
Adeniyi, reaffirmed the commitment of Nysc to see the welfare of corps members as utmost priority.
Earlier, the Osogbo local government Inspector,Mr.Rotimi Oloruntoba, applauded the conducted of corps members on hearing the announcement of the postponed elections but was calm.
Oloruntoba used the opportunity to urge them to always be at their Place of Primary Assignments (PPAs) as inspection to PPAs will soon commence.
